Transfer/Visiting/Internat'l Student Requirement
Transfer Students
Students who have satisfactorily completed at least one year of law studies at an ABA-accredited law school may apply for admission as advanced students. The law school will accept no more than 30 hours of work, and no credit will be given for any course in which the student has received a grade less than a "C."

Transfer students must submit the following to the student services office:
  • a completed and signed application form;
  •  a $55 non-refundable application fee;
  • a letter of good standing from the dean of the applicant’s current law school;
  • an official transcript from the applicant’s current law school;
  • a copy of the LSDAS/LSAT report;
  • a letter stating the reason for transfer;
  • one letter of recommendation sent directly to the Office of Student Services at the law school from a current professor.
  • Must supply course descriptions for each class on transcript.

Visiting Students
Law students currently enrolled in ABA-accredited law schools who wish to take courses at Texas Wesleyan University School of Law must submit the following to the admissions office:

  • a completed and signed application form;
  • a $55 nonrefundable application fee;
  •  a letter of good standing from the dean of the applicant’s current law school;
  •  an official transcript from the applicant’s current law with permission to visit;
  •  a copy of the LSDAS/LSAT report;
  •  a letter stating the reason for visiting status;
  •  one letter of recommendation sent directly to the Office of Student Services at the law school from a current profession.

International Students
Applicants who are not U.S. citizens must submit the following to the admissions office:

  • a completed and signed application form;
  • a $55 nonrefundable application fee; and
  • if the applicant’s degree is earned from an institution outside the U.S., a credentials evaluation must be supplied (call the admissions office for more information about obtaining a credentials evaluation).
