
David L. Pratt II is a civil appellate attorney with the Fort Worth-based law firm Decker, Jones, McMackin, McClane, Hall & Bates, P.C., where he focuses on business disputes, construction law, personal injury and medical malpractice defense and oil and gas litigation. Pratt is heavily involved in the State Bar and Tarrant County Bar Appellate Sections, in which he serves in various officer and committee roles. Pratt graduated
cum laude from the Texas Wesleyan School of Law in 2007, where he competed in several appellate advocacy competitions. Most notably, he received the prestigious 2007 Scribes Brief-Writing Award from The American Society of Legal Writers, was the brief writer and oral advocate on the law school’s first national championship team at the Ninth Annual Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition, and wrote several briefs that received top scores and awards. Fort Worth, Texas Magazine as one of Tarrant County’s top appellate lawyers.
