Professor Meredith Conway has been a member of the faculty at Texas Wesleyan School of Law since 2004. Prior to teaching, Professor Conway was an associate in the Business Tax Group at Drinker Biddle & Reath, LLP in Philadelphia, Penn. While in practice, Professor Conway worked on tax matters relating to partnerships, corporations, debt refinancing, and mergers and acquisitions. Professor Conway is admitted to the New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
Professor Conway’s scholarship focuses on issues corporate tax law, specifically on the efficiency of the corporate tax system as it applies to investors. Professor Conway is particularly interested in the use of debt in corporations and the impact corporate tax policies have on the governance and structure of corporations. Among her other achievements, Professor Conway was the co-organizer of the 2007 Texas Junior Legal Scholars Conference, an event sponsored by seven of the nine law schools in Texas. The conference brought together junior legal scholars from around the country to present works-in-progress.
Professor Conway holds a LL.M. in taxation from New York University, and a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law - Camden. Professor Conway earned her B.A. in political science from Drew University.
